Skipping time. Narrated essay by Leontios Toumpouris
For the group exhibition The Posterity of the sun curated by Ludovic Delalande, Toumpouris presents his narrated essay Skipping time which will be performed by Edward Madanat daily at fixed times throughout the duration of the exhibition. Part of a series of texts that draw from autobiographical encounters, personal dispositions, fiction, and remnants of the past, the piece explores multifaceted dimensions of exposure through found and imagined relationalities involving both speaking and non-speaking agents.
Public vs Private:
Mediterraneanism and collecting for the futureThis panel explores how collecting — whether through public institutions or private initiatives — can act as a form of cultural memory and political imagination. With a focus on the Mediterranean as a conceptual and cultural space, panelists consider how archives are shaped, narrated, and activated through different modes of stewardship. What responsibilities do collectors, founders and curators carry in shaping the future of regional art histories, and how might "Mediterraneanism" offer an alternative framework for living, layered, and transnational archives?

Moderator: Nadine KhalilDream Coat. Nefeli Papadimouli
Dream Coat is a continuation of Nefeli Papadimouli’s research on ephemeral communities, investigating when and how a community could exist for the duration of the night. Composed of 6 suspended and wearable costume-paintings depicting the solar cycle and an original soundtrack the installation explores the possibility of meeting in a meta-verse that would link different dream places, a utopia of dreams. Drawing inspiration from Greek mythology such as the myth of Orpheus and the god Hypnos, and referencing the visual languages of Etel Adnan, Henri Matisse’s Dance and the circular movements of turning dervishes, Dream Coat imagines dreams as a space where everyone comes together.
Aparapira Parape
A duo that thrives on chaos and spontaneity, their sets unfold without a script. Pulling from a broad spectrum of sounds, they fuse the familiar with the unexpected in a seamless, ever-changing flow. With no rehearsed moves or set plans, they respond to the energy of the night. What you hear and see is the raw, unfiltered result of being fully in tune with the room.
Afrofox Duo (live)
Obsessive record collectors, promoters and party organizers, the Dj duo of Acidfox and Picadillis, Afrofox, is a project born out of their mutual passion for dance music, a brotherly friendship that was established behind the decks and a belief that dancing is a significant human endeavour that is often overlooked in modern societies. Key proponents of the music scene in their native island of Cyprus, the couple own and run the illustrious Sousami Club in Limassol, as well as organise the biggest music festival on the island, ABR festival. Djing together for over a decade, their journey in music has seen them travelling the globe to Dj in cites from Berlin to Ho Chi Ming, and their shared love for music, combined with their up-beat chemistry behind the decks makes for a rather interesting, quite magical and most often, explosive dance floor experience.

Transliterative Tease. by Slavs and Tatars
Through the lens of phonetic, semantic, and theological slippage, Transliterative Tease explores the potential for transliteration–the conversion of scripts–as a strategy equally of resistance and research into notions such as identity politics, colonialism, and faith. The lecture-performance focuses on the Turkic languages of the former Soviet Union, as well as the eastern and western frontiers of the Turkic sphere, namely Anatolia and Xinjiang/Uighuristan. Lenin believed that the revolution of the east began with the Latinization of the alphabets of all Muslims of the USSR. The march of alphabets
has always accompanied that of empires–Arabic with the rise of Islam, Latin with that of Roman Catholicism, and Cyrillic with the Orthodox Church and subsequently communism. The lecture attempts not to emancipate peoples or nations but rather the sounds rolling off our tongues.
The lecture-performance has been shown at Manifesta 10, St Petersburg; ICA, London; Yale Art; Istanbul Modern; Detroit Institute of Art; Institute of Modern Art, Brisbane; Asian Cultural Centre, Gwangju, et al.Skipping time. Narrated essay by Leontios Toumpouris

Market Roundtable: On situating local ecosystems on the global stage
As artists, galleries, and institutions navigate increasingly globalized art circuits, the challenge remains: how to build sustainable, rooted ecosystems without losing the specificity of place. This panel brings together cultural producers who operate across local and international contexts to discuss strategies for maintaining autonomy, nurturing emerging talent, and building networks that reflect shared values rather than market pressures. How can smaller or regionally based actors resist homogenization while gaining visibility on the global stage? What role do collaboration, curatorial risk-taking, and infrastructural care play in shaping a more balanced and inclusive art world? Drawing from their varied experiences in Cyprus, Lebanon, Greece, and beyond, the speakers reflect on how locality can become a source of strength, rather than limitation, in shaping the future of contemporary art.

What defines the Cypriot art ecosystem today? How do non-profits and artist-run spaces contribute to contemporary art discourse? How do they validate or subvert institutional hierarchies through collaborative processes? This panel will contextualize institution-building in Cyprus in light of challenges and opportunities, taking into account Europe's socio-economic crises, notions of sustainability and best practices. The discussion is moderated by curator, researcher and writer Evagoria Dapola (CY/Athens).
