Curated by Dr. Yiannis Toumazis and Demetra Ignatiou, the exhibition examines the historically unified cultural character of Cyprus, which combines elements from the island’s rich, complex and multifaceted historical past. Centred around the notions of time, place and people, the exhibition fosters associations and narratives, showcasing aspects of the history and contemporary reality of Cyprus that have contributed to the forging of its inherent insular identity.Location:

The triptych exhibition mixes up contemporary art & Walkmans, the buffer zone, design & fashion, and challenges the limits of collecting with a short of ‘repatriation’ of a greek antiquity item (a c.640-620 BC piriform aryballos, from Corinth). The visiting process is ambulatory —‘’περιπατητικός’’ — in Nicosia within the Walls and nocturnal. Curated by Christos Kyriakides in conversation with the T. A. Gkekas - The Office Collection, the show features works from both Greek and international artists: Christos Bokoros, Demetris Merantzas, Cornelia Parker, Robert Montgomery or Nazgol Ansarinia (Iran)

The exhibition “Repetitice Acts: The power of weaving and textile in contemporary art”explores the enduring power of weaving as a medium of communication, storytelling, and resistance. From ancient Peruvian textiles to contemporary Afghan “War Rugs”, textiles have served as a silent yet eloquent transmitter of meaning and memory. This exhibition brings weaving’s legacy into the present, showing how contemporary artists from Cyprus transcend its domestic associations to become a space for political, cultural, and personal expression. The act of making, the repetitive patterns, and the ritual of repetition in the process are all equally significant.

With this new exhibition at the Minerva Hotel, Maria Loizidou invites us to enter a territory where conventional timelines are replaced by a kind of temporal cross–sectioning, a journey back and forth between past and present. In this hotel, on the mountains above Limassol, where people seek respite in times of heat, but also where people from neighboring countries often sought refuge in times of war, Maria alerts participants to the construction of our own history and identities. The exhibition refers to the act of ‘surviving’, of ‘getting over’, as we say of someone who has survived an ordeal, or loss.

Like a giant whale stranded on the seashore, the concrete Carob Warehouse in Limassol lies as a testament to 1960—a pivotal year in Cyprus’s history when the island gained independence. This ambitious engineering project was carried out by Andreas Papadopoulos, who had just been released from British imprisonment and, within months, transitioned into a ministerial role.
Dr.Sergey Nikitin-Rimsky, a researcher of Cypriot architecture and VeloNotte founder, reconstructs the story of this unique project and its impact through a lecture-performance. His research on Carob Warehouse will be published soon by the PSI Foundation.

LECTURE
Designed as an experiential space for viewing and reflecting on the works of the Cypriot modern painter Loukia Nikolaidou (1909 - 1994), the exhibition takes place in the house where she was born and raised, currently under renovation. It is in this house that many of the works presented in this exhibition were found in 1987, the "discovery" of which brought attention to the painter and her work.
The curatorial position approaches the exhibition as a process of production of new knowledge - rather than reproducing or disseminating existing narratives - and focuses on contemporary readings and themes relating to our responsibility towards the heritage of the modern in Cyprus.
Two audio works are presented: an experimental audio documentary by Loizos Olympios, commissioned for this exhibition, as well as an audio work by Androulla Kafa. Negotiating boundaries between the artist and the viewer / listener, the audio works propose a combinatory game, and a counterpoint composition with dense layers of voices and narratives. The exhibition is designed by lovenlight, and curated by Evagoras Vanezis and Christina Lambrou.Location:

The Tekton exhibition delves into the evolution of Modernist architecture in Cyprus, highlighting its role as a powerful symbol of the country's newfound sovereignty and as a response to the colonial architectural style of the first half of the 20th century. It examines the achievements of Andreas Papadopoulos and Phoebus Polydorides, who introduced innovative architectural forms into the Cypriot landscape and proposed important urban solutions that shaped the identity of the evolving country. Unpublished archival materials offer a rare glimpse into the duo’s contributions to Cyprus’ cultural and architectural heritage.

With this new exhibition at the Minerva Hotel, Maria Loizidou invites us to enter a territory where conventional timelines are replaced by a kind of temporal cross–sectioning, a journey back and forth between past and present. In this hotel, on the mountains above Limassol, where people seek respite in times of heat, but also where people from neighboring countries often sought refuge in times of war, Maria alerts participants to the construction of our own history and identities. The exhibition refers to the act of ‘surviving’, of ‘getting over’, as we say of someone who has survived an ordeal, or loss.

LECTURE
Like a giant whale stranded on the seashore, the concrete Carob Warehouse in Limassol lies as a testament to 1960—a pivotal year in Cyprus’s history when the island gained independence. This ambitious engineering project was carried out by Andreas Papadopoulos, who had just been released from British imprisonment and, within months, transitioned into a ministerial role.
Dr.Sergey Nikitin-Rimsky, a researcher of Cypriot architecture and VeloNotte founder, reconstructs the story of this unique project and its impact through a lecture-performance. His research on Carob Warehouse will be published soon by the PSI Foundation.

EXHIBITION
Designed as an experiential space for viewing and reflecting on the works of the Cypriot modern painter Loukia Nikolaidou (1909 - 1994), the exhibition takes place in the house where she was born and raised, currently under renovation. It is in this house that many of the works presented in this exhibition were found in 1987, the "discovery" of which brought attention to the painter and her work.
The curatorial position approaches the exhibition as a process of production of new knowledge - rather than reproducing or disseminating existing narratives - and focuses on contemporary readings and themes relating to our responsibility towards the heritage of the modern in Cyprus.
Two audio works are presented: an experimental audio documentary by Loizos Olympios, commissioned for this exhibition, as well as an audio work by Androulla Kafa. Negotiating boundaries between the artist and the viewer / listener, the audio works propose a combinatory game, and a counterpoint composition with dense layers of voices and narratives. The Tekton exhibition delves into the evolution of Modernist architecture in Cyprus, highlighting its role as a powerful symbol of the country's newfound sovereignty and as a response to the colonial architectural style of the first half of the 20th century. It examines the achievements of Andreas Papadopoulos and Phoebus Polydorides, who introduced innovative architectural forms into the Cypriot landscape and proposed important urban solutions that shaped the identity of the evolving country. Unpublished archival materials offer a rare glimpse into the duo’s contributions to Cyprus’ cultural and architectural heritage.
